From Click Cap 1.0 to 2.0
A Journey of Perseverance and Innovation
Four years is a long time. It’s the duration of an Olympic cycle, the period most people spend earning a college degree, and about the time it took us to develop our initial design of the click cap, the resealable can end.
On the surface, a resealable can seem simple. But it's a challenge no one has managed to solve for the mass market after decades of trying. Our team had to explore complex areas like injection molding, metal stamping, metal coatings, foil thermoforming, and induction sealing to name a few.
But as we gathered market feedback and evaluated our design, a realization hit: we could, and should, do better.
Making the decision wasn't easy. Scrapping years of work felt risky, like taking a leap without a clear landing spot. But it was this very gamble that became our catalyst. We didn't start from zero; we built upon our rich learnings from 1.0.
And in a little over a year, Click Cap 2.0 was born.
Not just a sequel but a vastly superior successor. This version enhanced the drinking experience, streamlined the opening and closing mechanism, and — here's the kicker — we doubled the pressure it could withstand when resealed!
After nearly seven years, the Click Cap is ready to shake up the market. The first major innovation in cans since the stay-on tab you know today was introduced in 1975.
In essence, the Click Cap isn't just a product; it's a story of persistence and evolution. And we invite you to be part of this narrative.
